Gauteng carried 53% of everything posted to a specific province, which is the usual shape of the South African market. If you are job hunting outside Gauteng, the practical adjustment is to widen the search radius rather than wait for local volume to pick up — and to keep an eye on the national listings, which are remote-friendly far more often than the province-specific ones.
