JobsJunction (“we”, “our”, “the site”) respects your privacy and complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). This policy explains what information we handle when you use jobsjunction.co.za and how it is treated.
1. Browsing the site
You can browse, search and view all job listings on JobsJunction without creating an account and without giving us any personal information. We do not require registration.
2. What we do not collect
We do not collect, receive or store CVs, resumes, identity documents, banking details or job applications. When you apply for a job, you do so directly on the employer’s own website, and any information you provide there is governed by that employer’s privacy policy – not ours.
3. Telegram job alerts
If you subscribe to our free Telegram alert bot (@jj_jobs_bot), we store only your Telegram chat ID and the province and job category you choose. This information is used solely to send you the alerts you asked for. It is never sold or shared with third parties. You can stop receiving alerts at any time with the /unsubscribe command, after which your subscription is removed.
4. Cookies and advertising
The site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party cookies via www.aboutads.info.
5. Third-party services
Job listing data is sourced from employers and recruitment agencies through public job feeds (including Adzuna). Links on job pages lead to third-party websites that have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.
6. Retention and security
We keep Telegram subscription data only while your subscription is active. We take reasonable technical measures to protect the limited data we hold, and we never sell personal information.
7. Your rights under POPIA
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you at any time. Email jobsjunction@wildlogic.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable period. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
