South Africa has a deep finance pipeline running from articles clerk through to CFO. The recognised route is a commerce degree followed by SAICA, SAIPA or CIMA articles, but bookkeeping and creditors or debtors roles are realistically reachable with a diploma and working knowledge of Sage, Pastel or Xero.
